Created for my senior thesis, the Absurdities were a group of seven products, each with a distinct lack of appropriate functionality; matches which do not light, bricks that come already stuck together, the abstract concept of green sold in a can.
These useless products were created as a meditation on the purpose of design in a world without purpose, and as a reflection of my own fears of uselessness and foolishnesses.
The smaller products were produced physically and printed via RISOgraph, in order to simulate traditional screen-printed packaging design.
